Mera Adhikar is an initiative by Silverline Foundation focussing on spreading awareness about Legal Rights a women should be aware of.
Legal awareness, sometimes called public legal education, is the empowerment of individuals regarding issues involving the law. Legal awareness helps to promote consciousness of legal culture, participation in the formation of laws and the rule of law.
India is a country with mass population especially women not aware of the legal systems prevailing in the country and also of their constitutional rights. Even though people are aware of it, they are not in a situation to afford because of their economic and social backwardness. They are in a helpless situation to engage the services of legal counsel, which has become the costly affairs.
Recognizing the need to impart legal awareness to women and girls, regarding their rights, we are committed to initiate legal awareness programs in schools, collages and offices. Mera Adhikar aims to empower women and girls with the knowledge of their legal rights and duties, ultimately to be able to share power equally, gain full access to the means of development and to inspire a whole generation of women to work together towards achieving equality and justice. Also, for the benefit of illiterate or semi-literate woman we have started with Free Legal Consultation from renowned Lawyers.
How do we do it?

Sticking posters or painting on the same matter on trucks and public vehicles for eg. An animated picture of domestic violence or a real picture of a happy farmer and his family are just some of the many such images that could generate curiosity and interest
